IP tuition for Sec 1–4: clear structure for a faster syllabus

IP schools move fast, expect strong independent learning, and set tougher school papers. Our IP tuition gives students clear structure, well-organised notes, and steady practice so they can keep up with tutorials and perform better in tests.

Our IP programme is led by Mr Jason Lau (former Head of Department, Mathematics at Hwa Chong Institution) and Ms Chen (former Raffles Girls’ School teacher). We focus on concept mastery, answering strategies, and exposure to harder questions—so students are better prepared for school exams and the transition to JC.

Our small-group format (maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6) gives students more chances to ask questions, practise challenging problems, and learn from peers. We support students from many IP schools across Singapore.

Understanding IP

What Are IP Schools?

The Integrated Programme (IP) represents Singapore’s pathway for academically strong students to pursue an accelerated education without the O Level examinations.

The Integrated Programme offers a rigorous 6-year curriculum that takes students directly from Secondary 1 through to JC or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma, bypassing the traditional O Level route entirely.

This streamlined approach allows IP students to engage with deeper, more challenging content from an earlier age. Rather than spending Secondary 4 preparing for O Levels, IP students continue building advanced knowledge across subjects, often covering portions of the pre-university syllabus during their secondary years.

How IP Differs from O Level

  • Curriculum Depth: Advanced content exploring topics at conceptual levels
  • Accelerated Pace: Faster learning trajectory without O Level pause
  • School-Specific Syllabi: Each IP school designs unique curriculum
  • Project-Based Learning: Emphasis on research and independent inquiry
  • Continuous Assessment: Ongoing evaluation vs. single high-stakes exam
Teaching team

Teaching team led by experienced educators

Our educators understand the IP pace and assessment style. Lessons are structured, concept-first, and focused on helping students handle both tutorials and tougher exam questions.

Team Lead: Ms Chen

Former RGS Teacher | 15+ Years Teaching Experience
Ms Chen is a former RGS Mathematics & Physics teacher with 15+ years of teaching experience. At Future Academy, she helps lead our teaching team’s approach to IP Mathematics and Sciences—building deep understanding, strong answering skills, and confident independent learning.

Mr Jason Lau

Former Hwa Chong Math HOD
Former Head of Mathematics Department (HOD) at Hwa Chong Institution with 17 years of Mathematics teaching experience at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI). He has experience in curriculum planning and teacher development, with a clear view of how IP Maths is taught and assessed in school.

Specialized Support

Why IP Students Need Specialized Tuition

Many parents make the mistake of enrolling their IP child in conventional tuition centres designed for O Level students. The results are predictably disappointing: content that does not match the school syllabus, teaching methods focused on memorisation rather than conceptual understanding, and tutors unfamiliar with IP expectations.

Different Schools, Different Syllabi

While O Level students across Singapore follow an identical MOE syllabus, IP schools have significant autonomy in curriculum design. RGS Math differs from Hwa Chong Math, which differs from RI Math. Generic “IP tuition” classes mixing students from different schools inevitably fail someone.

Why 1:6 Small Groups Work Best

With a maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6, our former MOE teachers can monitor each student’s understanding in real time, address individual misconceptions, and adapt to different learning styles. IP students benefit from collaborative problem-solving while receiving personalised attention that is hard to achieve in large classes.

IP Schools We Serve

Specialized Support for Singapore’s Elite IP Schools

Our educators understand the unique curriculum, pacing, and expectations of each institution.

Subject Coverage

Comprehensive IP Subject Coverage

Our educators provide specialised tuition across the core subjects IP students need most. Each subject is taught with a clear understanding of IP curriculum requirements and school-specific variations.

IP Mathematics

IP Math tuition forms the core of our programme. We cover Secondary 1-4 IP Math, building strong foundations, advanced topics, and mathematical maturity that prepares students for pre-university mathematics (JC/IB) and beyond.

IP Sciences

IP Physics: Ms Chen’s expertise in conceptual understanding makes complex physics accessible.
IP Chemistry: Chemical intuition and problem-solving across all chemistry topics.
IP Biology: Understanding complex systems beyond memorisation.

Flexible Learning

Learning Modes for Busy IP Families

IP students lead demanding lives. We offer flexible learning modes designed for complex family schedules without compromising educational quality.

On-Site Classes

Face-to-face learning at our Bugis, Bukit Timah, and Braddell centres. Modern facilities with conducive learning environments.

Hybrid Learning

Maximum flexibility to switch between on-site and online. Perfect for busy IP families balancing complex schedules.

Full Online

Premium virtual learning via ClassIn platform. Interactive whiteboard, real-time collaboration, and recorded sessions.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The Integrated Programme curriculum is fundamentally different from O Level in content, depth, pace, and assessment philosophy. IP students study school-specific advanced syllabi that differ from the standardised O Level curriculum. Our specialised IP tuition is delivered by teachers with IP school experience, with a clear understanding of how IP schools teach and assess.

Ms Chen is a former Raffles Girls’ School (RGS) Mathematics and Physics teacher with 15+ years of teaching experience. Mr Jason Lau is a former Head of Mathematics Department (HOD) at Hwa Chong Institution with 17 years of Mathematics teaching experience at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI). Both possess deep understanding of IP curriculum philosophy and school-specific approaches.

While one-to-one offers individual attention, it lacks peer learning and collaborative problem-solving that IP schools emphasise. Our small-group format (maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6) provides personalised attention from experienced educators while enabling discussion, multiple solution approaches, and social learning. It is also more cost-effective than one-to-one tuition with experienced tutors (often SGD 200-300+/hour).

Absolutely! We serve students from all IP schools across Singapore. While we aim to group students from the same school when possible, mixed-school groups also work effectively. Our experienced educators understand curriculum variations across different institutions and structure lessons around core concepts while providing school-specific extensions.

We offer three flexible learning modes: On-Site Classes at Bugis, Bukit Timah, or Braddell centres; Hybrid Learning where students can switch between on-site and online; and Full Online Classes via ClassIn platform. Regardless of mode, students receive the same master educator instruction and 1:6 small group benefits.

We provide specialized tuition across core subjects: Mathematics (IP Math for all levels, pre-university mathematics preparation), Sciences (IP Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Integrated Science), and Languages (English Language & Literature, Chinese Language). Each subject is taught with understanding of school-specific curriculum variations.
