Our Story
Founded by Singapore’s Top School Master Teachers
Future Academy was founded in 2015 by Ms Yvonne Chen and Mr Jason Lau — two former master educators who spent over 15 years each teaching at Singapore’s most academically demanding schools. Ms Chen was a Mathematics and Physics teacher at Raffles Girls’ School (RGS), where she served as Teacher-in-Charge of DSA Mathematics and coached students who went on to win international Olympiad medals. Mr Jason Lau was Head of Department (HOD) for Mathematics at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI), where he led IP curriculum development and prepared elite students for university and beyond.
After leaving the MOE school system, they set out to offer something different: structured, small-group tuition where every student receives the same quality of teaching they experienced inside Singapore’s best IP schools. Today, Future Academy operates across three branches — Bukit Timah, Bugis, and Braddell — and serves students from PSLE through IBDP, with classes also available fully online.

We believe every student deserves access to the same quality of teaching found inside Singapore’s best schools — delivered in an environment where they are known by name, never lost in the crowd, and consistently challenged to grow. That is the standard we hold ourselves to at Future Academy.
Our classes are kept small — a maximum of six students per teacher — so every lesson includes real dialogue, immediate feedback, and targeted support. Structured materials, progress tracking, and between-lesson support via WhatsApp ensure that learning doesn’t stop when class ends.

Former RGS Teacher | IP Math & Physics Specialist | 15+ Years
Former Teacher-in-Charge of DSA Mathematics at Raffles Girls’ School. Coach of International Olympiad Gold Medalists. NUS Electrical Engineering graduate with NIE Post-Graduate Diploma. Co-author of the IP Mathematics Assessment Book Series (Singapore Asia Publishers). Featured in Zaobao, Channel NewsAsia, MoneySmart, and TheAsianParent.
Mr Jason Lau
Former Hwa Chong Math HOD | IP Math Specialist | 15+ Years
Former Head of Department (HOD) for Mathematics at Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) for over 15 years. Led IP Mathematics curriculum development and prepared elite students for international competitions. Master’s Degree in Statistics and Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics (Honours) — both from NUS. Author of multiple assessment resources for IP students.

Our founders are former MOE master teachers from Raffles Girls’ School and Hwa Chong Institution — not tutors. They designed IP curricula, led departments, and coached Olympiad champions. That institutional knowledge is built into every lesson at Future Academy.
