O Level Mathematics
O Level Math Tuition Singapore
O Level Math tuition at Future Academy cover both E Math and A Math in the same class — no separate enrolment needed. Taught by specialist tutors in small groups of max 6, with a focus on deep conceptual understanding and strong exam technique.
Secondary School Mathematics
Master O Level Math with Expert Small Group Tuition
O Level Math results are a critical determinant of students’ academic pathways and polytechnic or junior college placements. Most Secondary 3 and 4 students take both Elementary Mathematics (E Math) and Additional Mathematics (A Math) — and both demand mastery of a wide range of topics, from algebra and geometry to calculus and advanced trigonometry.
At Future Academy, your child’s O Level Math lessons cover both E Math and A Math in the same class — parents don’t need to enrol separately for A Math. It is a major part of our programme, not an add-on. Our experienced specialists — including Mr Jason Lau (former Hwa Chong Math HOD, 17 years) and Ms Chen (former RGS teacher; 15+ years teaching experience) — know exactly how E Math and A Math reinforce each other, and they teach both with the same rigour and depth.
In our small-group format (maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6), every student receives personalised attention while benefiting from collaborative problem-solving. This integrated approach is especially effective for mathematics: students see how E Math and A Math concepts connect, develop stronger reasoning across both syllabuses, and build the exam technique required to excel in both.

The Challenge
Understanding O Level Math: What Students Face
O Level Math consists of two papers testing different mathematical competencies, spanning 11 major topics. Success requires conceptual understanding, technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and examination strategy.
Paper 1 (2hrs 15mins)
90 marks. Short-answer questions (26 questions) testing fundamental concepts across all topics. Requires speed, accuracy, and solid foundational knowledge.
Paper 2 (2hrs 15mins)
90 marks. Longer structured questions (9-10 questions) testing deeper understanding and problem-solving. Requires clear working, logical reasoning, and multi-step integration.
18 Major Topics
Comprehensive coverage from Numbers & Algebra, through Geometry & Measurement, to Statistics & Probability. Each topic requires thorough understanding and practice.

O Level Additional Mathematics (A Math) — Taught Together With E Math
Your child’s O Level Math lessons at Future Academy cover both E Math and A Math in the same class — with the same tutors. A Math is a major part of our programme, not a separate add-on. Our specialist tutors, including Mr Jason Lau (former Hwa Chong Math HOD), help students build algebraic fluency, calculus mastery, and strong problem-solving skills across both subjects.
What is O Level Additional Math?
O Level Additional Mathematics is a more rigorous elective taken alongside E Math. It introduces calculus (differentiation and integration), advanced algebra, trigonometry, coordinate geometry, exponentials and logarithms, kinematics, and mathematical proofs — all topics that form the foundation for H2 Mathematics in Junior College.
The examination consists of two papers (each 2 hours, 80 marks), testing algebraic fluency, calculus mastery, trigonometric expertise, and sophisticated multi-step problem-solving. Success requires deep conceptual understanding and strong exam technique — precisely what our small-group programme (maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1:6) is designed to build.
